On Saturday 22 October, 12 Xstitch trainers, travelled by Kombi to Ashton, just past Robertson.
We trained 25 farmworkers crocheting skills. We arrived at 9.30am and trained until 3.30pm.
We had lunch together and made such wonderful memories. The appreciation from the Ashton people were clear to see.
They made their caps and we returned with 25 caps donated to Xstitch – in line with our objectives. They all received Starter Packs for free and will now be making their own caps from the remainder of the wool in their Starter Packs.
They begged us to return and we will definitely try to be back in February next year.
